The CFMS is a professional organization whose mission is to bring together healthcare professionals, affiliate owners and their members in one location to bridge the gap between the CrossFit and healthcare communities.

Membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the goals of the CFMS and participate in its initiatives. This includes physicians, healthcare professionals, medical students, CrossFit affiliates, CrossFit coaches, and community members.

A main goal of the CFMS is to provide resources for community members to help them regain control of their healthcare journey.
The CFMS created two Directories of physicians and healthcare professionals, where community members can access and connect for care.

Evidence clearly supports the CrossFit methodology as a foundational tool for establishing and sustaining long term health. The CFMS provides an avenue for providers and members to come together and bypass our current mainstream medical model which is often reactive and disease focused, as opposed to proactive and health generating.

The CFMS is an independently owned and operated professional association. It is a trademarked license of CrossFit LLC.
Healthcare Professionals

All healthcare professionals who support the importance of constantly varied functional movement in health development and the key aspect of community connection.

The CFMS allows practitioners to be listed on our provider directory to connect with community members. The directory does have the prerequisite of having a CrossFit credential or completing 10 hours of CME course work through the CFMS.
Membership is free, although there is cost associated with obtaining a Level 1 or purchasing the CME course.

Yes, the CFMS has a robust CME offering. These are ACCME Category-1 credits. To learn more about coursework, visit the EDU portal.

Physicians who meet eligibility criteria (board certified/eligible, licensed and in good standing, as well as an active coaching credential or completed CFMS CME can choose to be listed on the CFMS Directory. Other approved healthcare providers (see list) with CrossFit credentials may also choose to be listed on the HCP Directory.
All practitioners listed on the Directories are required to submit proof of their licensure to practice. This information is available to consumers upon request. Please send an email to info@crossfitmedicalsociety.com

Yes providers, affiliates and members from all over the world are eligible to participate.
However, licensure for physicians will only be verified in the United States.

The Directories

Members can search by location, specialty, and in-person or virtual practice.
Members can chose to contact providers through their listed practice information or the directory platform itself.

The CFMS Directory houses physicians. The HCP Directory houses healthcare providers.

CFMS CME course work can be completed to join a directory.

Yes, providers from all over the world are eligible to apply.
The application process requires all providers to submit documentation of active licensing and CrossFit credential.

Providers will fill out an application and submit it to CFMS administration for approval. The CFMS requires providers to submit documentation of their license to practice and CrossFit credential, along with other practice information.
The CFMS will verify physicians who practice in the US are in good standing. The CFMS will not verify physicians that practice outside the US. They are still required to submit documentation of their license which the CFMS will have on file, available upon request.
Affiliates

The CFMS aims to establish the CrossFit affiliate as the preferred health home by providing educational content for affiliate owners and coaches, as well as tools and resources for members to support their healthcare journey. In doing so, the affiliate will further its ability to solidify its relationships with existing members, as well as be a referral resource for providers in the community who have patients struggling with metabolic dysfunction, sarcopenia and mental health concerns.

Becoming a member is the first step. As education opportunities are developed for affiliates and coaches to further integrate their boxes as health homes, taking part and supporting your staff in their education will be paramount.

The CFMS offers a monthly newsletter, regular publishing of journal articles and other resources, direct to consumer lab panels and a healthcare insurance alternative with CommunityCare.

CrossFit affiliate owners, coaches, and community members can join the CFMS at no cost. Registration is still required and 100% discount on these membership tiers will be applied at checkout.
